Choose Glapp if you want vial-supply tracking, an Apple Watch app, or clinical-trial benchmarking, and you're comfortable with an app whose reviewers report most of its previously-free functionality moving behind a paywall without warning in June 2026. Choose Veya if you want a record that doesn't depend on which provider prescribes your medication, with reminders that escalate until the dose is logged. Neither app is the right answer for everyone.

Veya vs Glapp, feature by feature

A chosen set of dimensions, not an exhaustive feature comparison. It deliberately leaves out supply/vial tracking, split dosing, platform availability and data export, the last because whether Glapp offers any export at all is currently unverified in our research. Every cell, including Veya's, is stated as recorded in the underlying research file: "unknown" means unverified, not absent.

Where Veya is different

Veya's record is not tied to whoever prescribes the medication. If you change providers, the tracker doesn't need to be rebuilt around the new one: it was never built around any single provider to begin with, and Veya doesn't sell or prescribe medication itself.

Reminders repeat until a dose is actually logged, breaking through Focus and Do Not Disturb, and the dose can be logged straight from the notification itself, a gap confirmed absent across every app in the set including Glapp. A dose taken later or earlier than planned is recorded as an ordinary entry rather than an error, with the schedule adjusting around it, because the app asks whether you took it rather than assuming.

The record itself is broad: doses with injection site shown on a six-zone body map, symptoms logged with severity on the day they happened, weight tracked against a goal as a trend, and body measurements across waist, hips, chest and thigh. History filters by kind, sorts by date, and exports as CSV, and logging works offline first, saving on the phone and syncing when there's a signal.

What Veya genuinely does well Provider-neutral: the record is not tied to whoever writes the prescription. Reminders repeat until the dose is logged.

What Glapp's reviewers report

Glapp launched on iOS free with no in-app purchases in March 2026, and introduced paid "Glapp Max" tiers in June 2026. According to its own reviewers, including people who describe themselves as beta testers, most of the app's previously-free functionality moved behind that paywall without grandfathering existing users in. One reviewer left a four-star rating with a critical body describing exactly this pattern and declining to pay for the new tier: a reminder that a headline rating can sit above a genuinely mixed set of complaints underneath it.

Separately, one Glapp reviewer reports that support confirmed shots cannot be scheduled for specific weekdays, which matters if your dosing schedule isn't a simple weekly cadence.

What is difficult to accept is that features and user data that existing users have been relying on are now locked behind a subscription. As one of the app's earliest users and a beta tester, I contributed feedback and data to help shape the product. It feels unfair that access to that same data is now restricted unless payment is made. My other concern is the lack of a proper export option... Overall, this change has significantly reduced my trust in the app, and I've decided to stop using it.

4-star rating despite a negative body about the new premium tier and a refusal to pay.

How naive of me to think that the Glapp folks would continue to make it available to us users who helped tweak and fine tune it in beta. I won't be buying it…

Glapp — “Glapp Max- I won't pay”, 1965Reviewer, 4 out of 5, v1.1.10, GB

I'm having difficulty figuring out how to schedule shots. My schedule is every Tuesday and Friday. If you're only doing 1 shot / week, then this app is for you... Edit: Support team said I can't schedule shots for specific weekdays. 😓

What Glapp does better

Glapp's supply and vial tracking lets users log medication inventory directly in the app, and reviewers describe it as the reason they switched.

What Glapp genuinely does well Vial-level supply tracking. Clinical-trial and peer benchmarking.

Which one you should pick

If vial-level supply tracking or clinical-trial benchmarking is what you actually need, Glapp offers both. If you'd rather not risk a feature you rely on disappearing behind a new paywall with no warning, or you want a fuller, exportable record of doses, symptoms and measurements, Veya is built around that instead. Reasonable people land on either side of this, and the honest answer depends on which of those two experiences you'd rather avoid.

Is Veya better than Glapp?

Neither app is better in every respect. Glapp has vial-supply tracking and clinical-trial benchmarking. Veya is provider-neutral, and pairs dose logging with symptoms, weight and body measurements in one exportable history, backed by reminders that keep prompting until a dose is actually logged.

Did Glapp used to be free?

Glapp launched on iOS free with no in-app purchases in March 2026, then introduced paid "Glapp Max" tiers in June 2026. Reviewers, including some who describe themselves as beta testers, report that most previously-free functionality moved behind that paywall without grandfathering.

Can Glapp schedule shots on specific weekdays?

One Glapp reviewer reports that support confirmed shots cannot be scheduled for specific weekdays, which is worth checking directly if your dosing schedule isn't a simple weekly cadence.

How does Veya handle a dose taken late or early?

Veya records it as an ordinary entry rather than an error, and adjusts the schedule around it. The app asks whether a dose was taken rather than assuming, which matters if your routine slips from time to time.

Can I get my history out of Veya?

Yes. Veya's history can be filtered by kind and viewed in date order, and exported as CSV, alongside dose, symptom, weight and measurement records kept in one place.
