Choose MeAgain if you want genuinely integrated food and fibre logging alongside dose tracking, and you're comfortable with an app whose reviewers frequently report being unable to use it without subscribing first. Choose Veya if you want a record that stays separate from any company that also sells you medication, with reminders that escalate until the dose is logged. Neither app is the right answer for everyone.

Veya vs MeAgain, feature by feature

A chosen set of dimensions, not an exhaustive feature comparison. It deliberately leaves out supply/vial tracking, split dosing and progress photos, the last because whether MeAgain's advertised progress-photo feature is actually available is currently unverified in our research. Every cell, including Veya's, is stated as recorded in the underlying research file: "unknown" means unverified, not absent.

Where Veya is different

Veya's record isn't tied to whoever prescribes the medication, and Veya doesn't sell or prescribe medication itself. MeAgain does sell GLP-1 medication in addition to running the tracker, which isn't a criticism on its own, but it does mean the app recording your doses and the company offering to fill your next prescription are the same business, which is worth knowing going in.

Reminders repeat until a dose is actually logged, breaking through Focus and Do Not Disturb, and the dose can be logged straight from the notification itself, a gap confirmed absent across every app in the set including MeAgain. A dose taken later or earlier than planned is recorded as an ordinary entry rather than an error, with the schedule adjusting around it, because the app asks whether you took it rather than assuming.

The record itself is broad: doses with injection site shown on a six-zone body map, symptoms logged with severity on the day they happened, weight tracked against a goal as a trend, and body measurements across waist, hips, chest and thigh. History filters by kind, sorts by date, and exports as CSV, and logging works offline first, saving on the phone and syncing when there's a signal.

What Veya genuinely does well Provider-neutral: the record is not tied to whoever writes the prescription. Reminders repeat until the dose is logged.

What MeAgain's reviewers report

MeAgain reviewers repeatedly report being unable to use the app without subscribing, having first completed an onboarding questionnaire. It is the largest single complaint cluster we found in this category. In fairness, MeAgain's developer has publicly replied to reviews stating that most features are in fact free, which suggests this is a presentation problem in the paywall screen rather than deliberate hard gating, but that distinction isn't obvious to a reviewer mid-onboarding, and it's not obvious from the reviews alone either.

Separately, a recent MeAgain redesign removed the shot countdown and streak in favour of calorie and macro tracking, and drew sustained objection from its own users. One five-star review raised a disordered-eating concern about the change in an otherwise glowing rating, and it's worth reading in full rather than assuming a high star rating means no complaint underneath it.

Saw this in an ad on social media, and just started my HLP-1 journey... I went through an entire survey, just for it to tell me I needed to subscribe before moving forward. No skip for now, no thanks or anything. Apps that are free to download and then force a subscription to actually use it are disgusting.

MeAgain — “Free to download, but not to use”, kella d, 1 out of 5, v2.2.5, US

It pressures you to subscribe immediately, before you even get a chance to see what it does. Once you do get to see what it does, it's not much.

MeAgain — “Minimal features”, PsychDr., 1 out of 5, v2.2.5, US

5-star rating despite a critical body — including a disordered-eating concern about the redesigned dashboard.

I loved MeAgain because it helped me focus on GLP-1 behaviors! Protein, water, fiber, my injection schedule, and my consistency streak. The new dashboard feels much more like a generic calorie tracker. Losing the shot countdown and streak has made the app much less motivating. Please consider bringing back the GLP-1-focused home screen or allowing users to customize what appears. I don't want to see my calories, fat, and carbs! It can trigger disordered eating. :(

What MeAgain does better

MeAgain is the only app in this category with real integrated food logging plus fibre tracking, and reviewers say it measurably changed how they eat. Its named co-founder also responds to reviews directly, which several reviewers mention by name.

What MeAgain genuinely does well Integrated food logging with barcode scanning and fibre tracking. Apple Health integration.

Which one you should pick

If a single app for both food logging and dosing is what you actually want, MeAgain does that in a way nothing else in this category matches. If you'd rather keep your medication record separate from a company that also sells you the medication, and want a fuller exportable record of doses, symptoms and measurements, Veya is built around exactly that separation. Reasonable people land on either side of this, and the honest answer depends on which of those priorities matters more to you.

Is Veya better than MeAgain?

Neither is better in every respect. MeAgain has genuinely integrated food and fibre logging. Veya is provider-neutral, doesn't sell medication, and keeps doses, symptoms, weight and body measurements in one exportable history, backed by reminders that keep prompting until a dose is actually logged.

Do you have to pay to use MeAgain?

MeAgain reviewers repeatedly report being unable to log anything without subscribing, usually after first completing an onboarding questionnaire. MeAgain's developer has publicly replied stating most features are in fact free, which points to a presentation problem in the paywall screen rather than deliberate gating, but reviewers' own experience is the pattern above.

Does MeAgain sell GLP-1 medication?

Yes, in addition to running the tracker. That isn't a criticism on its own, but it does mean the company recording your doses is the same one that can offer to fill your next prescription, which is worth factoring in if you want your tracker independent of your medication source.

What happened in MeAgain's dashboard redesign?

A recent redesign removed the shot countdown and streak from the main dashboard in favour of calorie and macro tracking. It drew sustained objection from MeAgain's own reviewers, including a five-star review that raised a disordered-eating concern about the change.

Can I get my history out of Veya?

Yes. Veya's history can be filtered by kind and viewed in date order, and exported as CSV, alongside dose, symptom, weight and measurement records kept in one place. MeAgain reviewers separately report no way to move their history to a new phone or export it for a report, so check what, if anything, MeAgain currently lets you take with you before you delete it.
