Why Wegovy tablet users track
The tablet is taken under conditions the injection never has to satisfy: an empty stomach, a specific way of swallowing it, and a wait afterwards before eating, drinking or taking anything else by mouth. Consistency with those conditions is worth recording precisely because it is easy to get right most days and quietly slip on a busy one.
The tablet has conditions attached that a weekly injection does not
The label says the tablet should be taken on an empty stomach after a recommended fasting period of at least 8 hours, swallowed whole with a sip of water up to half a glass, and that it should not be split, crushed or chewed. It also says patients should wait at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking or taking other oral medicinal products.
None of that applies to a weekly injection, which is exactly why this page and its record are worth having on their own terms.
A daily tablet is easy to lose count of over time
Nothing about taking a tablet each morning stands out the way an injection does, which is exactly why a missed day, or a day taken without the fasting period observed, can slip past unnoticed. What to record across a change in your prescription
Treatment is reviewed and adjusted over time. Veya will not tell you what to take, and this page carries no schedule of amounts: that is between you and your prescriber, and it is set out in the patient information supplied with your medicine.
